In the Name of God Amen I Joseph Croxton of Ely within the Isle of Ely and county of Cambridge waterman being of perfect memory but of an infirmed body and willing to settle that small portion of worldly estate God has been pleased to endow me with Revoking all other former wills by me heretofore made Do make this my last will and testament In manor and form following
ViztFirst I Bequeath my soul unto the hands of God who gave it and my body to be buried at the discretion of my executrix herein after mentioned
Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Batchelor All that my shop in the Market Place in Ely situated being and standing next the house late John Wilson’s Gent on the south and the north end thereof abutting on a shop of Mr Thomas Martyn’s together with all and singular the appurtenances preserving the rents issues and profits thereof to Mary and Joseph Croxton and my assigns for and during the term of my natural life To have and to hold the said shop and premises from and after the decease of the said Joseph Croxton unto her the said Elizabeth Batchelor her heirs and assigns forever
And lastly all and singular my goods and chattels bills bonds writings debts and all other things unbequeathed I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Batchelor aforesaid who I make sole executrix of this my last will and testament she paying my debts and bringing my body decently to the ground In witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this nine and twentieth day of June in the fourth year of the reign of sovereign Lady Anne of England Annoy Drid 1705.
