WILL of Richard Hedge alias Crosson of Purleigh 1681
I bequeath unto my Granddaughter Elizabeth Mott my tenement ,lands belonging unto it called Woodnotts being in the parish of Purleigh and the land called Cock Clarks in the parish of Stow Maries and the land in Haseleigh Parish called Waltons. And I bequeath unto the child Elizabeth Mott my copyhold tenement belonging unto Haseleigh Hall and all the land there belonging. Item I bequeath unto my Grandchild Elizabeth Mott my blankets bolsters coverlets and all material belonging to the household, forever. The long table in the hall, the form and bench board in the hall, the cupboard in the hall, the huloz that stand in the parlour, the hangings at the parlour windows the long hangings standing in the hall chamber, my kettle, my little porridge pot, the hooks, six of my best dishes, six napkins, the long board clouts and pillow board. Item I give unto my Daughter the said Susan Hedge alias Crosson the wife of my son John Hedge alias Crosson Doroasod dwelling my house where she now lives for the duration of her natural life. I bequeath unto my Daughter in Law Elizabeth Hedge alias Crosson wife of my Son Humphry but now the wife of William Donny five shillings of Lawful English Money to be payed by my executor one year after my decease. I give unto Thomasina Hedge my brothers daughter ten shillings of Lawful English Money to be payed two years after my decease . I give unto my kin's woman the daughter of Matthew Hedge five shillings of Lawful English Money to be payed two years after my decease. Item I make Matthew Mott my son in law and Elizabeth Mott my grandchild executors of this my last will and testament. |
