WILL of Thomas Crosson of Leigh 1614
In the name of God amen. The second day of October Annio Domini 1614 I Thomas Crosson of Leigh in the county of Essex. Mariner , being fit in body and in good and perfect remembrance, God be thanked, do constitute and make this my last will and testament in manor and form following and do first recommend my soul unto Almighty God my creator and maker and Jesus Christ my only saviour and redeemer by whose passion I fully assured myself of life eternal and my body to the earth to be buried. And hereby I utterly revoke all former wills by me heretofore made chalfoetion. Item I give unto my Elizabeth my wife to ------- forever tenement and the garden their to belonging --- unto Noel Shooter of Prittlewell, Conditionally ---- she the said Elizabeth her ----- executors or assrg---- --- shall ------ unto Sara Crosson the sum of four pounds of lawful money of England unto the said Sara Crosson shall accomplish the full age of twenty and one years and unto Rachel Crosson also the sum of four pounds of lawful money of England --- the said Rachel shall accomplish the full age of twenty and one years. Item I give unto Samuel my son my greatest brass pot to be delivered unto him at the age of twenty and one years or at the day of his marriage which of these shall first happen. Item I give unto Elizabeth my daughter the other great brass pot to be delivered unto her at the age of twenty and one years. All the rest of my goods, my bequests, my debts paid my funeral expenses discharged I give unto Elizabeth my wife whom I make full and sole executor of this my last will and testament. And do request Nathaniel Nerby, and Robert Morgan to be witnesses of this my last will and testament giving unto either of them for their payment twelve pence apiece. In witness thereof I here seal, subscribe and deliver this my last will and testament the days and years first above written. Probate given 23/11/1614. Memorandum. My will is that this my said wife shall --- insufficient sorvition to my said exerseers for the payout of the said eight pounds of lawful money of England unto my two daughters Sara Crosson and Rachel Crosson above said that then it shall be lawful to C for the said Elizabeth my wife to bargain and sell the said tenement above said at her own will and pleasure . |
