WILL of William Croxton of Southminster 1535

In the name of God Amen. The------------in the year of our Lord 1535 and in the 27th year of the Reign of King Henry the VIII. I William Croxton of Southminster in the county of Essex and in the diocese of London whole in body and in good remembrance thanks be to Almighty God. Make and ordain this my last will and testament in manor and form following. First I bequeath my soul to Almighty God to our blessed law----- and to all the company of heaven and my body to be buried in the churchyard of Saint -------. Item I bequeath to Matthew Hanson a feather bed and all that to the said bed. Item I bequeath unto Annus Arther my daughter in law a mattress, a pair of sheets, a pair f blankets, a coverlet, a bolster, a pillow ----. Item I bequeath Margaret Gillam a mattress, a pair of blankets, a pair of sheets, a coverlet, a pillow a bolster---- with bed. I will to the said Margaret at the day of ----- of all my goods. I will and bequeath my duty pigheaded my will truly affirmed, I will that John Hunson dispose for them and my son ------ Croxton ------ in the name of charity as he ----- has left and I ordain and make my faithful friend John Hanson and I will he ---- for this labours.
