WILL of William Croxson of Ramsden Crays 1554

In the name of God Amen. In the year of the Lord God 1554 I William Croxson of Ramsden Crays being of whole mind and good remembrance doth ordain and make this my last will and testament. In manor and form following. First I bequeath my soul unto Almighty God my body to be buried in the parish church yard of Ramsden Crays before named. First I give and bequeath Eleanor my wife my house and lands called Woodridding lying and being there in the same parish aforesaid and after the death of Eleanor my wife I will my house and my lands remaining to Thomas my eldest son paying to my other sons that is to say William and Edward four pieces of them to be paid in the fourth year after their mothers death. Item and the one of them being the oldest in years. Item I sayeth that Thomas my son pays to his two sisters that is to say Annis and Margaret forty shillings apiece of them, in four years after their mothers decease. If one or other of them dies also I will that the longest lived of them enjoys the others part. Item if Thomas dies without heirs of his body lawfully begotten then I will William my son have it to hiry to his heirs paying to his brother Edward and to his sisters the bequest aforesaid , also if William my son also to dye without heirs of his body lawfully begotten then I bequeath that Edward my son haneit to them and heirs paying to Annis and Margaret my two daughters which so ever lives four years after the decease of their mother and if Edward my son has also died without heirs of his body lawfully begotten that then I to my daughters Annis and Margaret have it between them part and part ---- to them and to their heirs of their bodies lawfully begotten if none of them then the others heirs.
The rest of my goods unbequeathed I give to Eleanor my wife whom I make my executrix alone.
