WILL of William Croxson of Margaretting 1615
In the name of God Amen. I William Croxson of Margaretting in the county of Essex Blacksmith being sick in body but of good and perfect memory thanks be unto God. Dost ordain and make my last will and testament. First I bequeath my soul to Jesus Christ my Redeemer and my body to the earth. Item I give unto William Croxson my son 6/8 and to the foner of his children 6/8 a piece and to Sarey my goddaughter 8/4 they to be and another Egyend that the money to be paid within 8 months after my death. Item I give unto ester my daughter my Daster, my bed that is in the little parlour what I usually rest, the table and the furniture belonging there unto and the table in the hall with the frame and the farnes belonging there unto. Item I give unto Louise my daughter £3 if she be living, if not unto the children that her husband hath by her, every one alike and one to the others to either if they are living 12 months after my death and then the money to be paid. Item I give to Antony my apprentice 10/- to be paid 12 months after my death. And I make Robert Croxson my son my sole executor he performing that my will according to my mind here in set down. Item I give unto him all my goods what so ever unbequeathed and here unto I set my hand the 2nd day of December in the year of our Lord 1615. I do give unto her what so ever goods shall be remaining after my decease in the presence whom I used to lie with dlefferated. Item I give my maid a cloak pole and a whole pair of sheets.
